I would recomend to find out which process is eating most of your CPU. 
If you are not using seti@example.com or other similar software, your CPU usage
shall not be 100% at all. 

I usually determine CPU usage of processes by programm "top".
eg. I enter this command:
$> top

There you can see what process eats what amount of CPU as well as
memory usage.

If this is anyhow related to your reboot problem, I do not know.
