As for me, I would try to use module delivered by intel here:

Though the module used for the first seems to work pretty fine...
I had this kind of problem once with rtl8139 based (cheap) nics, and
finally, I realized I had a problem on a IRQ port... But your problem is
different since it worked with RedHat...
But maybe you should wait an answer from a real guru...
