Anyone successfully booted Linux via PXE?
I was trying my luck following the instructions at:
http://portal.suse.de/sdb/en/2003/06/tsieden_pxe-install.html
The DHCP server correctly supplies the tftpserver IP and which file
to load. I get the nice boot menu, choose which entry to boot. The
linux kernel gets booted, but then it prints "Loading initrd..." and just
hangs there for a while and then spits out: Boot failed; Press any
key for retry or wait for reboot.
I've tried this on different hardware with different tftp and dhcp
servers always with the same result. Could this be a bug in syslinux
or am I just missing something in my config?
If anyone can reproduce this or successfully gets past this stage,
please let me know.
Sven
