It doesn't crash for me. I tried several documents, and no crashes.

This is RH7.3, kinput2 running with canna and xim set, and OO1.1.

The command for  OO is: 

	"LANG=ja_JP XMODIFIERS=@example.com=kinput2 /usr/local/OpenOffice.org1.1RC/program/swriter"
