Quoth Brett Robson <b-robson@example.com> > I've managed to avoid references so far but have just dragged > out the dreadful camel book (*) [...] Which edition of the Camel book is dreadful? I have read the second edition almost word-for-word, and have the third edition, which I have certainly used quite a bit. I found neither of them "dreadful", in fact, the second edition totally changed my outlook on Perl (from "necessary evil" to "expressive and wonderful language, for some things"). > I can't stand reading Larry Wall, the guy is a genius but he > should not write books. The Camel book is not just Larry Wall, you know. I find reading Larry Wall quite a pleasure. The Camel book is wonderful, and I always look forward to a new State of the Onion Address or Apocalypse. -Josh
