Argh, NTT's spelling is indeed "@example.com". I'm the one who mucked it up into "@example.com". There is no excuse for my mistake. This would never have been done by anyone who ever wrote a Linux program that would take input from a file. I can't imagine how I could have misspelled it that way. Meanwhile, I haven't found a way to keep the modem from hanging up when transfering more data than ping does. Sigh.
