"Tomaranai Rinaxu ..." ( Unstoppable Linux [kernel] )
Hi Sanjay.
The above statement cames from a top manager in one japanese
company that do factory automation equipment.
They use Linux inside the customer factory running 24hours (EMBEDDED)
and sending
data to others Linux data machines (SERVERS).
BUT, the main development enviroment is Windows (DESKTOP).
I mean the application (services) that they sell is main Windows based
for they customers (Windows users).
I am sorry, it is not exactly what you ask.
But I believe that Linux are going to make a very good case where
the DAEMON factor is a dominant part of the game.

Subject: [tlug] Business applications of Linux
Hi,
I recently came across an article which said that lot of companies were
switching to Linux in Japan. I was just wondering what kind of
applications might be used and what areas Linux is being used in the
companies. I would appreciate any input.
Thx,
Sanjay
