[tlug] utf8 and LaTeX

Hi,

Has anyone tried using LaTeX with Japanese encoded in UTF8, do you have to
select a specific font with the character sets in?

so far I am doing:

\ocp\TexUTF=inutf8
\InputTranslation currentfile \TexUTF
\documentclass[a4paper,12pt]{report}
\usepackage{latexsym}

\input unicode

\begin{document}
\title{Test}
\maketitle

\section{first}
あ い う え お

\end{document}


However the resulting dvi does not show the characters.
