If you get kangaroo on the menu elsewhere, it (theoretically) has been shipped in from SA. This is not a case of the rest of us being squeamish about eating large furry creatures; it is a result of kangaroos declining to behave docilely enough to be slaughtered according to prevailing hygiene standards. Seems that sand-gropers (our endearing term for South Australians) aren't that fussy.
