I realize this :) But I'm stuck on a military base, where the max speed 
is 56k.

Is this speednet local only to the immediate Tokyo area? I must admit my 
lack of knowledge of how folks here decide localities. I live in 
Ayase/Yamato (Atsugi-Kichi).
