[tlug] pppd logging weird things

Hi all,

Just checked my logs and came across this oddity in /var/log/syslog
(Slackware 8.0 distro):

Dec 5 06:00:02 gstewart pppd[3946]: tdb_store key failed: Success
Dec 5 06:00:02 gstewart pppd[3946]: tdb_store failed: Success
Dec 5 06:00:02 gstewart pppd[3946]: tdb_store failed: Success
Dec 5 06:00:02 gstewart pppd[3946]: tdb_store key failed: Corrupt database
Dec 5 06:00:02 gstewart pppd[3946]: tdb_store failed: Corrupt database
Dec 5 06:00:04 gstewart last message repeated 4 times
Dec 5 06:00:04 gstewart pppd[3946]: tdb_store key failed: Corrupt database
Dec 5 06:00:04 gstewart pppd[3946]: tdb_store failed: Corrupt database
Dec 5 06:00:04 gstewart last message repeated 3 times

The mandatory search on google threw up about 20 results, many of which
were in languages I don't understand. Those I do understand were
postings to mailing lists such as this in which the question "what is
this" remained unanswered.

I can't search in the TLUG mailing list archives because the search
engine strips the underscore from "tdb_store" and tries to look for
"tdbstore". :-/

So, my turn. WTF is this? Should I be worried about it?

FWIW, these messages only occur when pppd is fired up, and my ISP
authenticates via PAP (rather than CHAP).
