One possible motive could be that he can't read your e-mail in his mail
client unless he opens the attachment it's in... :)

This is only one motive, but the most important is that I am Industrial Designer,
and the most important companies in the world are starting to use LINUX, couse is free and powerful, right?
So, I will love to use Maya under linux, and CAD programs, and Image softwares.
The files I use the most are document files (I know I can do in LINUX))txt, doc, xls,
Image files: psd, pdf, ai, jpg, bmp, gif (The most important for me),
and Technical drawing files like dwg.
And 3d drawings like: 3dmax files, maya files,
Other programs files like indesign files,
And the the ones of the softwares I need to learn from now on alias studio files, and pro-E files.

Somebody should write a book about the biographical background or other
motivational elements that make people want to switch. And the
determining factors that make those switches permanent, happy success
stories rather than the "I tried it, but I don't get it" testimony of
failure type.
