- Subject: [tlug] /proc/cpuinfo
Dear tlug I installed SuSE8.0 I got from previous TLUG meeting on my IBM ThinkPad i1800. SuSE claims the cpu is at 190.015 MHz (see below), which I believe should be 700. I checked with Small Linux from Debian which says 690 something. And it really felt much faster than 200 MHz but felt slower than 700 MHz. The questions are, what could lower it? And How can I boot it up? Or am I just reading wrong? Thanks in advance -- processor : 0 vendor_id : GenuineIntel cpu family : 6 model : 8 model name : Celeron (Coppermine) stepping : 6 cpu MHz : 190.015 cache size : 128 KB fdiv_bug : no hlt_bug : no f00f_bug : no coma_bug : no fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 2 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 mmx fxsr sse bogomips : 357.17 -- BABA Yoshihiko
