I'm running my own Apache server (1.3.26 on RH 7.2) and it has about 150-250 clients connected at any one time. If I run top I get the following: 11:18am up 41 days, 19:12, 1 user, load average: 0.22, 0.11, 0.09 231 processes: 230 sleeping, 1 running, 0 zombie, 0 stopped CPU states: 0.5% user, 3.7% system, 0.0% nice, 95.6% idle Mem: 516820K av, 512368K used, 4452K free, 0K shrd, 14648K buff Swap: 1052216K av, 15632K used, 1036584K free 333960K cached I have 512M of RAM and top shows that it is all being used. But almost no swap space is being used ... Should I get more RAM or is it normal for Linux to use all the RAM it can get?
