This "EUC-2022" has me stumped. Any relation to EUC-1234 or EUC-666? 8-)}
Anyway, the popular encapsulations of JIS208 (Shaft_JIS, EUC, ISO-2022-JP)
all sort the same way under LC_ALL=C.

I think Stephen was a bit rough with his "lying browsers". Shizophrenic
browsers might be closer to it. The situation I was in a while ago involved
the HTTP saying the code was one thing, and the HTML said it was another.
The browser reported one and acted on the other.
