[tlug] cannot connect to the sound daemon

Hello,
I am new user in trouble.
Since I installed red hat I can not make the sound card start well, so every 
time I turn on my computer I receive an error message saying:

Canot connect to the sound daemon.
The sound daemon can be started by selecting 'Start ESD' from the right 
click menu, or by running 'esd' at a command prompt.

I usually start it by following that instructions, but I do not know how to 
fix that problem in a permannet way.
Can someone tell me how to do it?
