Its not any harder than installing ReiserFS or JFS on a fresh RH install. Same goes for rescue options. Its even less difficult if you use the SGI install disks Stuart mentioned. One procedure is to copy all the data in root on a seperate partition and boot with 'root=' set to that partition. Then format your original / as XFS, copy the data back and reboot as usual.
