Speaking of NFS, is the Linux implementation really that bad or am I doing something wrong? On many occasions, Ive noticed that if the connection between a server and a client drops, NFS mounted systems just go crazy. A umount cant be forced and anything running off of it just stops and cant even be 'kill - -9'ed. Ive seen this with many kernels, but the last time was between a 2.4.17 server and 2.4.18 client. Thanks.
