Umm.. is this a trick question? set it just like you want it in named.conf, and make sure it is open to allow the zone transfers(tcp 53). If you are asking how to setup DNS? Go read the HOWTO or get the bind/DNS O'reilly book. --Matt On Mon, Mar 25, 2002 at 06:50:08AM +0100, Mario wrote: > hi, > > i have a local network locnet1 192.168.1.0 with a nameserver ns1 > (192.168.1.50), and a second local network locnet2 192.168.2.0 with > nameserver ns2 (not running on the same machine as ns1). > > from locnet1's point of view, locnet2 is hidden behind a masquerading-only > firewall. the firewall (192.168.1.150) and the nameserver ns2 for locnet2 > (192.168.2.1) run on the same (multihomed) machine. > > i want ns2 to be the master name server for zone locnet2, but to be a slave > server for locnet1. how do i have to configure this on rh7.2? > > thanks for any help, > > -mario -- "Take away them collisions and the common channel and it's like Christianity without Christ." -Jim Breen (speaking about "full-duplex" Ethernet)
