[tlug] Installing and uninstalling Netscape

I downloaded Netscape 6.2 to my Mandrake 8.1 system and installed it
under the mistaken assumption that it would replace the pre-installed
Netscape 4.7. 

Not only is 4.7 still in the system, but it is the only Netscape
recognized when I open an HTML file.

I would like to uninstall 4.7 and have 6.2 recognized. Can anyone help?
