yeah it errmm...did work with the old kernel...but after I did the first compile of the new kernel, there wasnt any problems, so I..deleted the old kernel, then when I went to re-compile 2.4.17(because I forgot to include apm) and thats when it all went horribly wrong. Well...I guess I have learnt to wait a bit longer before I go deleting the old kernel. Will have to remember that next time. So as long as it worked before with the Red Hat kernel, just boot the Red Hat kernel and go from there. If your stuff doesn't work with the stock Red Hat kernel, then something is really weird.
