Hi all, 
I am using linux as a router behind an ADSL connection
as a gateway to the Internet. Since it's the only
computer I have at home with linux, it's loaded with
stuff that usually doesn't go on a router, such as X
and cannaserver.

When I shut down the linux box AFTER switching off the
ADSL modem, linux shows me the following message when
trying to stop cannaserver:
"Cannot kill server, because server is run by another
machine"
I don't get any message if I leave the modem on.

Any clues of the reason? My /etc/hosts.canna contains
only unix and localhost, so I supposed that nobody
from outside can access my canna server.
