I open it with open, with O_RDWR, and NO_CTTY. it is set up with cfmakeraw. I was trying somethings with the program, and i had to stop it. (Ctrl+c). Next time i ran it, it locked up when opening the device. It didnt return. There was no lock file, i didnt create it, it was just for testing. I saw calling pppd with that device fixed it, but dont know why... Just want to understand. > Tim. > > On Wed, 12 Sep 2001, David Eduardo Gomez Noguera wrote: > > > I have a problem with a serial device. > > I run a programthat opens it, but it has crashed a few times and then the device appears to be left open, because the next time i run that program it freezes just before opening it. > > > > how can i fix it? > > or what can i do to make that dev reusable without rebooting? > > > > thank you. > > > > -- > > ICQ: 15605359 Bicho > > =^..^= > > First, they ignore you.
