T1,2,3, etc.. =North America Standard
E1,2,3, etc..  =European Standard

So T2 exist in US and it is 6312 kbps

And regarding to the speed for E1 and E2
2.048Mbps is E1 and E2 is 8.45Mbps
So the 2mbps you are talking about is E1 not E2
