Not going to argue against your selections, but after prepping my
NetBSD box for XEmacs devel, it had more MB in /usr/local/src/XEmacs
than in the rest of the system combined.  That was with XFree86 3
installed.  About 150MB, IIRC, including kernel source and the
/usr/pkgsrc hierarchy, plus a few necessary GNU goodies like make and
autoconf that BSD doesn't normally supply.
