Meadow: Can't display Japanese characters

Hello,

I have been trying without success to get Meadow to display Japanese
characters properly on my Win98 machine. I am seeing empty square boxes
instead of the characters.

What confuses me is that I can see Japanese fine in Emacs, but not Meadow.
One thing I noticed was that when I Shift-LeftClick a neutral area in
Emacs, I the Windows font selection window pops up and I can select "MS
Gothic" and then I see all the Japanese characters fine. But when I
Shift-LeftClick in Meadow, I get a small menu with "Font" and "Fontset" on
it. I try selecting the different options in that menu but I either see
junk characters or blank boxes on the screen when I try to view a Japanese
file.

Can someone help me get this working please? Also, once I get this
working, how do I input Japanese characters?
