Ulrike> Which kind of poison doesn't matter? Anything that uses the LZW encoding will produce a huge file, because due to the Unisys patent, Ghostscript doesn't implement compression in its LZW encoder. (netpbm doesn't have this problem because the last version of netpbm was released before the end of the Unisys grace period. That is why netpbm has not been revised in 7 years. Not to mention that it was perfect in version 1.0.) -- University of Tsukuba Tennodai 1-1-1 Tsukuba 305-8573 JAPAN Institute of Policy and Planning Sciences Tel/fax: +81 (298) 53-5091 _________________ _________________ _________________ _________________ What are those straight lines for?
