Anything that uses the LZW encoding will produce a huge file, because
due to the Unisys patent, Ghostscript doesn't implement compression in
its LZW encoder.  (netpbm doesn't have this problem because the last
version of netpbm was released before the end of the Unisys grace
period.  That is why netpbm has not been revised in 7 years.  Not to
mention that it was perfect in version 1.0.)
