still no luck....

[root@example.com dosfs]# mkfs.msdos /dev/sda
mkfs.msdos 2.6 (28 Nov 2000)
mkfs.msdos: Will not try to make filesystem on '/dev/sda'
[root@example.com dosfs]# mkfs.msdos /dev/sda1
mkfs.msdos 2.6 (28 Nov 2000)
mkfs.msdos: Attempting to create a too large file system
[root@example.com dosfs]# mkfs.msdos /dev/sda2
mkfs.msdos 2.6 (28 Nov 2000)
mkfs.msdos: Attempting to create a too large file system
[root@example.com dosfs]# mkfs.msdos /dev/sda3
mkfs.msdos 2.6 (28 Nov 2000)
/dev/sda3: Device not configured
[root@example.com dosfs]# mkfs.msdos /dev/sda4
mkfs.msdos 2.6 (28 Nov 2000)
