chkconfig. It is a Redhat thing as far as I know. If you ever forget the name of it just view that top of any of the /etc/rc.d/init.d/ files and you'll see the tags for it in the header. Eg. the crond start script. # chkconfig: 2345 40 60 # description: cron is a standard UNIX program that runs user-specified \ ... Cheers, Tom.
