I have a noname tv card, here is my modules.conf section:
#bttv
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 bttv
alias char-major-81-6 bttv
alias char-major-81-64 bttv

options tuner debug=0 type=2
pre-install bttv modprobe -k tda8425;
#post-install bttv modprobe -k tuner;
options bttv radio=1 card=1
options tda8425 debug=0

The sound chip on the ATI might be different, and the bttv card option also.
