Yes and no.  You can use `-sDEVICE=pdfwrite -sOutputFile=output.pdf'
which will produce a standard-conformant PDF file that in many cases
Acrobat can't read.  Adobe has acknowledged the bug, AFAIK has done
nothing to fix it.  Ghostscript 6.x is much better in this regard, but
I don't know whether it has been completely fixed.  You should test
all PDF files you produce with any readers your users might have, and
there may be Postscript that Ghostscript cannot convert to Acrobat-
pablum PDF.

If you are starting from SGML or LaTex, you could use pdflatex, but
has a similar problem AFAIK.  At least, Windose users always have
trouble reading the PDF docs on www.xemacs.org.
