We just got a few servers with RedHat 6.1 preinstalled (kernel 2.2.12). They have the AIC-7896 adaptec SCSI on-board. Its working fine with the default installation, but when I try running kernel-2.2.14, I get the following messages and it just keeps going on forever: aborting command due to timeout SCSI bus is being reset.................. ...........................trying harder SCSI bus is being reset.................. ...........................trying harder I guess I can try a newer kernel, but all the other servers are running 2.2.14 and it would be desirable to have the same on these. Has anyone else experienced this problem? A.Sajjad Zaidi
