Yesterday I attempted to use the SNMP remote disk monitoring facility of the "mon" package from the Debian (potato) distribution. It didn't work, because of a version mismatch between the relevant script in "mon" and the SNMP version shipped with this Debian distribution. The mismatch didn't turn out to be a big deal once I figured out what was going on, but since that took a full day to accomplish, the result might save someone some time. If anyone wants the patch, drop me a note. When I get around to it, I'll put it into the Debian hopper and report the problem to the maintainer of "mon".
