Do people ever read documentation these days??? There _is_ a
fundemental difference between ssh 1 and ssh 2 namedly stuff like
this happens.

Well duh, note that the following message is prominetly featured on
the openssh page:
*NEW*OpenSSH 2.1.1 released June 8, 2000
(contains support for both SSH1 and SSH2 protocols)

And if you paid attention to the TTSSH page:
"Compatible with SSH protocol version 1.5"

To put it in simple words,  the new keys you made are for SSH2
which is unsupported by TTSSH
