Re: tlug: telnet: different question + others




I fail to see what is unethical or illegal with this. The original
query, to put it technically, has been how to run a login session
noninteractively -- say from a script. As has been suggested, the
obvious answer is to use one of those notorious r* family (rsh,
rlogin..)  programs, if *permitted* by the system configuration, else
telnet with expect or use ssh. By the way ssh can run from a script by
setting batchmode = yes. 

As long as this is set to be automatically executed for loging in from
machine A to machine B between which interactive login is anyway
allowed, the user is not grabing any privilege not granted to him, no?

The original poster want to use it for, IMHO, an unethical purpose
but that is for him/her to worry, I guess. 

I am missing something ?
