First of all, try 'sndconfig' at command prompt. You could not configure your on-board ESS, go to the OSS site http://www.opensound.com then download evaluation version of OSS driver. It's a commercial product, but it worth to pay . I have Yamaha on-boad sound chip in my linux box. It works fine with OSS driver. -- Shigeo Honda On Fri, 12 May 2000, you wrote: > I have an Onboard Sound Card named ESS Allegro-1... > I never saw this sound card before.. > Does anyone know how to configure it on linux??? > > Thanks... > > Alberto Maikuma > -------------------------------------------------------------------- Next Technical Meeting: May 13 (Sat) 13:30 Temple University Japan * Topic: Crypto and Security Speaker: Chris Sekiya Next Nomikai Meeting: June 16 (Fri), Tengu TokyoEkiMae. -------------------------------------------------------------------- more info: http://www.tlug.gr.jp Sponsor: Global Online Japan
