meta-x (or esc-x) to get to command mode, then type 'select-all', I
believe.  Might depend on your emacs lisp sources/bindings/etc.

Note that many distributions nowadays will use the 'windows key' on your
keyboard as 'meta'.  I know TL does, and I think that the others are doing
that as well, as long as you specified the 104 key keymap during install.
I think it works the same with the jp106.
