Why it's doing this is another question, but you at least have a starting point. Perhaps there's a NAT configuration problem, or maybe the card is just hosed? If you're sure everything is correct in the NAT config, you might try putting a known-good card in there. Or reverse the roles of the cards so that the WD card is to the outside and the other card is to the inside. If you can see your inside network but lose external connectivity, swap out the WD.
