Do `ls -lt | head' and wait until the time in the top line ;-)

Alternatively, do

make clean

and try again.  If that doesn't work, do `ls -lta | less', then
preserve (by cp'ing to different files) anything important to you
that's dated in the future (in particular .config), do `make
mrproper', and cp the files back where they came from.  (Use cp, not
mv, because that sets the file timestamp to current time.  mv
preserves it, and preserves the problem.)
