well, the version that I have includes the powermac's own fatal system
error screen as one of the things it displays :)... however, i was wrong
-- at least on TL 3.6 it's not part of xlock, but instead only in
xscreensaver.

yeah, this is how TL PPC works, too -- the MkLinux stuff is really only
useful for old NuBus powermacs.  The LinuxPPC kernel is a *lot*
faster/better than the MkLinux stuff.
