tlug: Windoze in a virtual machine under linux

This URL popped up on the svlug list a few days ago. Completely blew me
away -- thought maybe some of you fine folks in Japan might not have
seen it yet:

    http://www.vmware.com/

Virtual machine software for linux. Worked like black magic on my
PII/350 with 128MB or RAM.

*FINALLY* I can deal with blasted ms-office email attachments without
rebooting out of linux and into windows.

I've been checking the status of Wine and Bochs every few months, but
this vmware thing caught me completely by surprise.

As I compose this in an xterm under XFree86 on a linux 2.2.9 box, I've
got another window containing a virtual machine running NT4.0 w/
MS-office -- full network connectivity and full access to cd, floppy,
serial, and parallel ports. Amazing stuff.

Free 30 day evaluation available for download. For the record: $75 for
home use, and $199 for commercial use (until 7/14 when the prices go
up).

I'm *extremely* impressed. Thought others might be interested.

Regards,
