tlug: Memory Snatchers

I've a server running Apache with a custom module. Occassionally, for
reasons I've not been able to track down, an http process will start to use
lots of memory. If enough processes go like this the machine dies.

I've a cron job that restarts the Apache server each night, and that has
helped. But it's not enough.

Is there a way to have a cron job that will regularly look at the processes
and kill off any that are using more than say 10Mb? Is there already a
utility that does this?

Darren

PS. What I really want to know is what URL caused the process to snatch all
that memory. But I'm dreaming here aren't I?
