Mine shows:
# ipchains -L
Chain input (policy ACCEPT):
Chain forward (policy DENY):

Chain output (policy ACCEPT):

But it doesn't work.   Now I suspect my kernel config is wrong.  Will you show me your /usr/src/linux/.config ?
