Most Japanese packages are available in the main Debian distribution
now. The install scripts have become more robust, and automatically
install the necessary init scripts to start servers at boot as well as
configuration files (or patches to configs), like any Debian (or
RedHat) package.

I suspect that the _user_ rc files are more complete with JE/PJE/JRPM,
though.

My main point was not that you (necessarily) prefer PJE, but rather
that you found it usable and useful. Right? Whereas I've had
problems with JE (long ago), don't like the install script, and don't
much like RPMs themselves (for reasons which may not affect
Japanization packages at all). Which is all personal to me.
