tlug: doomed

I hope this is the appropriate newsgroup for this question.
I have downloaded doom (the game) from sunsite, and upon running

$ baka:~/usr/local/games/doom-1.8$ xdoom
xdoom: can't find library 'libXt.so.3'

Well, neither can I.  I _can_ find libXt.so.6 and friends.  You'd think
that the executable would be smart enough to post to tlug if it can't find
what it needs, deshou?  Anyway, what should I do?  (besides something
productive %o) 

In the meantime I will try sdoom.
