tlug: Mounting CD-ROM

Hi every body

Using the command "# mount /cdrom" after installing S.u.S.E Linux 5.3 for
the first was failed to mount the CD. and this is the system reply :
mount: can't find /cdrom in /etc/mtab or /etc/fstab
However this CD was not on a S.u.S.E distribution and I became root when I
did that.
then I tried this:
"# grep cdrom /etc/fstab" and this is the system reply for the second time:
#/dev/hdc                 /cdrom                iso9660
ro,noauto,user  0           0
then I do not know what to do?
Actually I'm a beginner in linux enviroment and I want to mount the CD-ROM
as any user or to access the CD-ROM resources any where and when ever the
my study reqires.
Can any body help;
Best Regards
