tlug: Partition Table Values

Hi every body

Trying to install WINNT in a partition used before by SuSE 5.3 Linux in an
IDE Compaq DESKPRO Machine, the System Commander software which I used to
use for switching between Linux & NT showed the following message when I
tried to use the Wizard for installation.

The Message:
The partition table has values that exceed the size of the hard disk. No
actions can be performed in this partition.
Cause: This might be caused by a virus, or incorrect BIOS parameter
settings in the BIOS, changing the BIOS LBA mode on or off, or the
installation of Unix that dose not follow the hard disk standards.
-Soutions: Run a current anti-virus check of the hard disk.
-Have a qualified technician look at the BIOS settings for hard drive,
checking that the number of sectors, heads of cylinders match the hard
drive.
At the same time, for for the IDE drives only, verify the LBA option is
set properly for the size drive in use.
if the partition in question is created by a Unix variant, check if a
newer release of the OS supports new drives ( typically a problem with IDE
drives greater than 504 MB using LBA).

No virus attack.
I think SuSE 5.3 Linux was the latest version of Linux.
Can any one explain to me the correct BIOS settings for 2.1G HD
previously partitioned to 4 partitions each 500MB.
WINNT and SuSE 5.3 Linux installed in 500MB each, the remaining partitions
used for backup.
Best Regards
