A lot of people seem to have high hopes for FIPS ;-) Unless there's a
new variety of FIPS that I don't know about (haven't used it in over a 
year, so it's possible), the FIPS program does one thing, and one
thing only: it splits a FAT (aka DOS) partition, leaving one partition
with all your existing data and one (or more?) empty
partitions. Period. End of story.
