tlug: Mounting my cdrom's

I installed linux (Redhat) over the weekend (I was seriously underimpressed
with the ease of installation; but I'll come back to that when I've got
some constructive comments).

A couple of questions:

1.Is there a way to copy parts of the console screen to a disk file? I
tried hilighting with the mouse, but didn't know what to do then.
Right-clicking seemed to try and execute everything I'd hilighted.

2.When I try "mount /mnt/cdrom" I get this error:
mount: fs type iso9660 not supported by kernel

 /etc/fstab has this line:
 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,ro 0 0

Any idea what I forgot to install/setup? How do I get round this?

Darren
