Good question.  Has it ever / does it have problems with 
Japanese versions of Dos?

The quesion's irrelevant though in this case.  JReader,
JDic, etc. are all programs for the English version of 
Dos.  They work wonderfully on plain English Dos, and 
handle the Japanese themselves.
